What is Wellness?
Start of the New Year is a time when there is a renewal of energy and motivation to tackle fitness and health goals for many people. It’s when we genuinely want to change our behaviors to become healthier, stronger, and more fit. But before you start focusing on all your “mistakes” you made last year and your “flaws” that you want to change, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect on what is AWESOME in your wellness. If you’re thinking, “There’s really nothing awesome,” well, think again! It’s always the small things you do everyday or even on occasion that you don’t even think about that make a positive impact on your wellness. Follow us through our series of short activities and we’re sure you’ll be surprised!

What is Wellness?
Our Wellness is like a puzzle. It is made up of various puzzle pieces, which are often called “health dimensions”. These puzzle pieces come together to show you the best version of yourself. Your physical health/fitness is really only one piece of the puzzle. There are many other puzzle pieces of our wellness that impact who we are and how we live our lives. Check out our list of the puzzle pieces that make up our wellness and how each of them shows up in our life through our actions.
As you read through each of the puzzle piece, reflect back to last year and list as many of YOUR behaviors that contribute to that piece of the puzzle on your activity sheet. It can be something you did once or something you do every day. EVERY BEHAVIOR COUNTS so write them down!!
